Two Nights of Irish Music and Good Times at the Irish Festival
The highly anticipated Irish Festival is back, bringing two incredible nights of Celtic music to Weatherwax Hall (215 W Michigan Ave)! This annual sellout event is a lively celebration of Irish and Scottish musical traditions, this time featuring two distinct performances.
On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Weatherwax Hall welcomes Old Blind Dogs. Originating from Aberdeen in the early ’90s, Old Blind Dogs blend the rich tradition of North East Scotland’s songs and tunes with contemporary innovation. They faithfully preserve the essence of Scottish music while continuing to push creative boundaries.
On Saturday, March 15, 2025, CrossBow takes the stage. This dynamic group from Grand Rapids blends traditional Irish music with eclectic pop, rock, and folk influences, making them a favorite at Celtic festivals across the Midwest. Their performances, known for toe-tapping energy and heartfelt camaraderie, deliver a unique, engaging experience that stays true to their Celtic roots while appealing to a wide audience.
“Join us for a double-feature Irish Festival celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! These concerts sell out fast, so grab your tickets early. First, we welcome Scotland’s incredible Celtic group, Old Blind Dogs, and on March 15th, Michigan’s own CrossBow takes the stage—featuring musicians trained by JSO Education Director, Jed Fritzemeier.” said Colleen Monahan, the Music on Tap Coordinator at Jackson Symphony Orchestra.
Grab a drink from the cash bar, sit back, and enjoy an evening of live music. Show off your JSO Branded shirt at a Music on Tap concert for $2 OFF an alcoholic beverage or a FREE non-alcoholic beverage. Get yours here.
