Consumers Energy Foundation Contributes $30,000 to Support JSO Concert Series

The Jackson Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce that the Consumers Energy Foundation has accepted our request to be the Principal Partner for our five-concert Signature Series. The Foundation will be contributing $30,000.

“This is a milestone for the orchestra’s Development program,” said Music and Executive Director Stephen Osmond, “and continues a long tradition of support the Company has so generously provided the orchestra since its inception 67 years ago.”

“Consumers Energy is committed to our hometown of Jackson and to supporting strong cultural organizations like the Jackson Symphony Orchestra,” said David Mengebier, president of the Consumers Energy Foundation. “We look forward to helping the JSO carry out its mission of enriching Jackson’s civic life, through its vibrant location downtown and at its world-class concerts.”

The Principal Partner Program is a means for securing sufficient support for several of the organizations leading programs including the Community Music School, Pops Concerts Series, Affinity (principally singer songwriter artists), and Up Close (Classical Chamber Music and Jazz) to name a few.
