Jackson Symphony Orchestra

Jackson Community Strings

CLASSICS AND CHRISTMAS CONCERT
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 21 - 7 PM

invites Jackson-area string musicians: violin, viola, cello and string bass, for all ages and technical levels to join us.  Directed by Clyde McKaney, Community Strings members rehearse twice a month, every other Monday, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at the Jackson Symphony Orchestra’s Peter A. Weatherwax Hall, 215 W. Michigan Ave.,
downtown Jackson, from September to May.

EVERYONE’S WELCOME TO PLAY!!

NO AUDITION REQUIRED!!

We perform two to three concerts a season with beautiful and exciting music for String Orchestra.  Opportunities for smaller "chamber" groups - string quartets, trios, duets and solos - are also a part of our concert program.

So,...if once upon a time you studied a string instrument and for whatever reason had to "let it go" for awhile, if you're a young person who doesn't quite have the experience to audition for the JSO, or if you're on any level in between and are still interested in performing with a group of other string musicians who love the art of music,

THEN WE ARE THE GROUP FOR YOU!!!!

Please call for more information (517) 782-3221.
